TERMS OF USE

By accessing, browsing, or booking accommodation and event venues through this website or directly at the premises of UNILAG Guest Houses and Conference Centre ("ULGH", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and all applicable rules, policies, and regulations of the University of Lagos. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services or reserve accommodations.

• Payment Guarantee: Reservations are only guaranteed after full payment is made. Rooms will not be held without verified payment. • Payment Method: All online reservations are processed securely via Paystack (Debit/Credit Card, Bank Transfer, USSD). • Strict Non-Refundable Policy: Payments made are NON-REFUNDABLE under all circumstances. • Rates & Currency: All published room rates and event venue tariffs are in Nigerian Naira (NGN) and represent the base rate per room night or per venue session. Rates are subject to periodic review by the university management; however, confirmed and paid reservations remain unaffected. • Identification: The primary guest whose name appears on the booking must present a valid government-issued photo ID (International Passport, National Identity Card, or Driver's License) upon check-in.

• Check-In Time: From 2:00 PM on the scheduled arrival date. Early arrival requests are subject to availability. • Check-Out Time: Strictly by 11:00 AM on the scheduled departure date. • Late Check-Out Charge: Every late check-out attracts a 50% charge of the room tariff. Departures beyond late afternoon will attract the full daily room tariff. • No-Show Charge: In case of a NO-SHOW, the full rate will be charged for the first night booked.

• Complimentary Breakfast: All our room categories are entitled to complimentary breakfasts, except the Mercury rooms and the Venus rooms. • Mercury Room Rules: A Mercury room is strictly for one (1) guest per time. It comes equipped with a single bunk-sized bed, and there is no bathroom in the room (guests use a designated external bathroom). Breakfast is not included. • Venus Room Rules: A Venus room is strictly for one (1) guest per time. It comes equipped with a single bunk-sized bed and an en-suite bathroom. Breakfast is not included. • Standard Rooms (Silver, Gold, Gold+): Accommodate up to 2 guests, with a complimentary breakfast included. • Suites (Diamond, Platinum, Presidential): Accommodate up to 3 guests, with complimentary breakfasts included for 2.

• Venue rentals (including Fussion Hall, Lecture Theatre, Function Room, Boardroom, Green Slope, Cocktail Garden, and Pool Bar) are confirmed only upon formal agreement and full payment. • Corkage Fee: A mandatory corkage fee is payable whenever external meals, drinks, or refreshments are brought onto the premises by event planners or catering vendors. • Damage & Care: Event organizers are fully liable for any physical damage to the facility, furniture, audio-visual equipment, or university property caused by attendees or vendors.

• Strict No-Smoking Policy: Smoking of cigarettes, cigars, shisha, or electronic vaping devices is strictly prohibited within all guest rooms, corridors, and indoor areas. Violators will face a penalty cleaning fee of ₦50,000 and possible eviction without refund. • Campus Respect and Quiet Hours: UNILAG Guest Houses is situated on the serene academic grounds of the University of Lagos. Quiet hours are observed between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Excessive noise, disorderly behavior, or illegal substances are strictly prohibited. • Pets Policy: Pets and animals are not permitted on the premises, with the exception of certified service animals with prior clearance.

• Safe Custody of Valuables: While all rooms are equipped with electronic door locks and 24/7 security is maintained, UNILAG Guest Houses is not liable for loss or theft of unattended cash, jewelry, or valuables left in rooms or vehicles parked on premises. Guests are advised to use in-room safes where available. • Force Majeure: We shall not be held liable for failure or delay in performing our obligations resulting from events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of civil unrest, or university administrative closures. • Governing Law: These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Lagos State.
